This project aims to enhance Badlao Foundationís Integrated Child Development Project, which is working for the well-being of children from four panchayats (Duladih, Supaidih, Saharpura, and Dakinbahal) in 20 villages of Jamtara C.D. block of Jamtara district, Jharkhand. It is aimed at improving childrenís access to quality education, and public health delivery system and nutritional inputs. Efforts are also being made to increase the girl childrenís school enrolment and retention, and to strengthen home-based child caring and health practices This is a holistic child development project asserting Childrenís right to Health, Nutrition, and Education etc. The project also provides economic/livelihoods opportunities to the families of the sponsored children through establishment of micro-enterprises and providing vocational training for the youth. The project is implemented at Jamtara district with the help of Christian Childrenís Fund (CCF). Under this programme Child Sponsorship is given to the neediest children and financial and other forms of assistances are provided to the families of the children who are sponsored.
