Badlao Foundation has undertaken continuous struggle against the government policy of promoting eucalyptus and acacia and it has produced better results. Jharkhand government has adopted Badlao Foundationís theme of promoting fruit, timber and fuel trees.

Paharia tribals have favoured Badlao Foundationís model of drinking water schemes against government promoted wells for hill top villages. Spring water has been tapped for water storage in tanks to provide water for the people as well as animals. At lower levels, the water is also used for bathing and washing animals.

The Foundation has a library of around 2500 books and periodicals. There is a well-developed computerized system and full fledged documentation centre to serve as data bank for planning and research, etc.
